Update 3-7-10

This morning we were scrambling so bad to get to the church to clean. I normally do this on Saturday night, but I had Ky and some homework to do. I wanted to be out the door at 8:15, but you know... kids that think they will miss something and they stay up all night. Yeah that. We were out the door at about 8:45. That only gave me about two hours to vacuum the entire sanctuary, mop, clean the bathrooms, etc. With the obvious strain and stress, that I am sure my princess noticed, she spoke up and volunteered to clean the bathrooms. Both of them! Thanks mommy's little princess. You are the best helper!

Acts of Service = 2

Jorli has been an amazing helper today. I think yesterday kind of stuck with him on through to today! Let's see if I can remember all of the things that he did...

- put groceries up
- took out the trash
- carried groceries in

Now that I think of it, all of my kiddos did these things, but take the trash out. So let's tally this way..

Kayla = Acts of Service - groceries = 1
Zed = Acts of Service - groceries = 1
Jorli Acts of service - groceries = 2
Jorli Acts of Service - trash = 1

I think that it is so sweet how they are always wanting to help when we shop. They literally fight over who helps. These are the things that I am going to remember and remind them of when they are teens, so that they can look back and realize that I still would need their help lol

LZ was so loving, today. He can care less about getting in the pic, just as long as he is being caught giving mommy a kiss. That is what is important to him. I think that it is adorable.

Touch - 1

Brushing mommy's hair... priceless. :) I love this the most, so they will all automatically get something special after school tomorrow. I am so proud of all three of them this weekend. I am blessed to have beautiful and compassionate children!

Update 3-6-10

Yesterday I took the kids to CiCi's pizza. This is something that we used to do all the time, but haven't since Kayla's birthday in October. It was definitely long overdue.

While we were there, Kayla brought me some pizza and a salad. What a little sweetheart. Of course she really wants to be a waitress when she gets older :)

Acts of Service = 1

Jorli won a bouncy ball and gave it to his sister because he loves her. I thought that was sweet.

Receive Gifts = 1

Last night LZ wanted to sit on my lap to watch Astro Boy. He is such a loving child; still wanting to be a little boy.

Touch = 1

Today my family and I volunteered with the Hands and Feet Ministry of the First Baptist Church. What an awesome experience.

Acts of Service = priceless

Daily Update 3-4-10

LZ was outside playing. He came in and asked to give 3 of his toys to three little neighbor kids. He knows how to warm his mommy's heart and that does it! Way to go LZ, mommy is so proud of you!

-Acts of Service = 3 points

Jorli comes to me out of the blue and with so much passion. He says, "Momma". Then there was a pause. "I love you". He completes his cute gesture with a sweet little hug. He is such an adorable little boy and so sincere.

-Words of Affirmation = 1
-Physical Touch = 1

Kayla as much as she didn't feel good today, and even stayed home with me, offered to clean my client's bathroom. Definitely momma's little helper!

-Act of Service = 1

--- 6 points for my babies

I am secretly going to reward them when they each reach 20 points and remind them of these things that I am so proud of. This is something that I am doing for us all. It shows my kids how I appreciate them and at the same time, it even reminds me of just how much my kids love me. I encourage you all to do the same!
